Description
The current German Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) offers a simplified procedure for newly constructed residential buildings without cooling. Effective October 21, 2016, this procedure was introduced via a joint public announcement by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conversation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). In the announcement, based on model calculations, 13 technical configurations are described which generally meet the EnEV requirements, in combination with defined thermal insulations.
In the “EnEv easy” project, fundamentals for updating the “EnEV easy” procedure are developed. The objective is to keep the procedure open especially for innovations and to ensure that new technologies will not be adversely affected in the future. Furthermore, the procedure for potential future amendments shall be prepared.
